ABCpuppy Health Guarantee

  1. One-Year Congenital Disorder Guarantee

    • Coverage: All puppies come with a 1-year guarantee for congenital disorders, allowing exchange or replacement.

    • Replacement Fee: A $100 fee applies for a replacement puppy, which must be of similar or lower value.

    • Diagnosis: The congenital disorder must be diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within one year of purchase.

  2. 14-Day Viral Health Guarantee

    • Options: If a serious viral infection (e.g., parvovirus or distemper) is diagnosed within 14 days, you may:

      • Exchange the puppy for one of equal or lesser value.

      • Receive a refund or reimbursement up to the purchase price if returning the puppy is not feasible due to distance.

    • Hospitalization Costs: Reimbursement up to the purchase price is available for hospitalization costs upon submission of veterinary invoices.

    • Disclaimer:

      • This is not a health insurance policy and does not cover veterinary bills beyond the specified reimbursement.

      • Owners are responsible for all veterinary expenses outside the stated terms.

    • Limit: Once the total refund or reimbursement equals the purchase price, no further credits will be issued, and the congenital guarantee is void.

  3. Limitations

    • Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover cosmetic or non-life-threatening conditions.

    • Routine Care: Owners are responsible for vaccinations, deworming, spaying/neutering, and flea/heartworm prevention.

    • Case-by-Case Review: Minor health concerns not explicitly covered may be reviewed individually.

    • Insurance: This guarantee is not a substitute for pet insurance. We recommend exploring veterinary care options.

    • Breeding Ability: Breeding ability is not guaranteed under any circumstances.

  4. Buyer Responsibilities To maintain this guarantee, you must:

    • Veterinary Exam: Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 7 days of purchase to validate all guarantees.

    • Fecal Exams: Conduct tests for worms, coccidia, and giardia as advised by your veterinarian. [Changed "vet" to "veterinarian" for consistency with formal tone.]

    • Notification: Inform ABCpuppy immediately if the puppy tests positive for any health condition.

    • Microchip: Register the puppy’s microchip (details in vaccine records).

    • Spay/Neuter: Complete spaying or neutering by six months or as recommended by your veterinarian. [Changed "vet" to "veterinarian" for consistency.]

    • Training: Address behavioral issues with professional training if needed.

  5. Deposits & Refund Policy

    • Non-Refundable Deposits: Deposits (up to $400) are non-refundable but transferable to another puppy.

    • Switching Puppies: Changing your selection after three days incurs a $200 fee unless the selected puppy becomes sick before release.

  6. Sold as Pets Agreement

    • Terms: Puppies sold as pets are for companionship only and include:

      • No Breeding Rights: Breeding is not permitted.

      • Spay/Neuter Requirement: The puppy must be spayed or neutered.

      • Pet-Only Focus: Ensures a loving home, not for breeding or showing.

      • Breed Variability: Minor breed variations may exist, even for purebreds.

      • Health Guarantees: Congenital and viral guarantees apply to "Pet Only" puppies.

  7. Important Notice

    • Public Spaces: Avoid taking puppies under four months old, who are not fully vaccinated, to public places like pet stores, parks, or groomers. [Added "old" after "months" for clarity and grammatical correctness; added commas around "who are not fully vaccinated" for proper clause separation.]

    • Vet Visits: Keep the puppy in a carrier during veterinary visits and prevent strangers from handling or touching its mouth. [Changed "vet visits" to "veterinary visits" for consistency.]

    • Agreement: By accepting a puppy from ABCpuppy, you agree to all terms and conditions in this document.
