The Shihpoo is a small dog breed that is a cross between a Shih Tzu and a Toy Poodle. They are also known as Shoodle, Shihdoodle or Pooshih.

Appearance: Shihpoos can have a variety of coat colors and textures, depending on the traits they inherit from their parents. They typically weigh between 8-18 pounds and stand 8-15 inches tall at the shoulder. They have a round head with floppy ears and large, expressive eyes.

Temperament: Shihpoos are known for their friendly and affectionate nature. They are good with children and make excellent family pets. They are also intelligent, playful, and easy to train. Shihpoos tend to be social and enjoy being around people and other animals.

Exercise: Shihpoos do not require a lot of exercise and are comfortable in small living spaces. However, they do enjoy daily walks and playtime. They may also enjoy interactive toys that challenge their intelligence and keep them mentally stimulated.

Grooming: Shihpoos have a low-shedding coat that requires regular brushing to prevent matting and tangling. They may also require occasional grooming appointments to trim their hair and maintain their appearance.

Health: Shihpoos are generally healthy dogs, but like all breeds, they may be prone to certain health issues, such as dental problems, ear infections, allergies, and luxating patellas. It is important to keep up with regular veterinary checkups and maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine for your Shihpoo.

Designer breeds are hybrid dogs that are created by crossing two purebred dogs to achieve a desired combination of traits from both breeds. The "F" in F1, F2, F3, etc. refers to the generation of the cross, with F1 being the first generation, F2 being the second generation, and so on.

F1: An F1 hybrid is the first generation of the cross between two purebred dogs of different breeds. For example, a Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever x Poodle) is an F1 hybrid.

F2: An F2 hybrid is the result of breeding two F1 hybrids together. The puppies in this generation have more genetic variability than the F1s.

F3: An F3 hybrid is the result of breeding two F2 hybrids together. This generation has even greater genetic variability than the F2s.

Each generation of the hybrid cross can have different characteristics and traits, as the genes from the two parent breeds can be expressed in different combinations. It's important to note that designer breeds are not recognized by major kennel clubs and do not have established breed standards. As a result, there can be a lot of variation in appearance, size, and temperament even within the same generation of a designer breed.

If you suffer from allergies, we recommend a first or second-generation dog. Otherwise, come in person to spend 15-20 minutes with the multigeneration puppy to see if you feel any allergy reactions as some may have small traces of similar but different breeds.
